This cuddly snowman toy has some bright rainbow accessories: a hat, scarf and snuggly sweater. Designed by Amanda Berry @fluffandfuzz, the snowman and outfits are knitted on single pointed needles (not in the round).

The snowman is knitted in a chunky weight (bulky/12 ply) fleecy bouclé yarn, and the accessories are knitted in 100% acrylic DK yarns.


NEEDLES
A pair each of 4mm and 5mm single pointed knitting needles (US 6 & 8)

RECOMMENDED YARN
For the snowman, Sirdar Snuggly Snowflake Chunky, 100% polyester, two 50g skeins in shade “Milky” 0200. For the accessories, Sirdar Hayfield Bonus DK, double knitting/light worsted weight, 100% acrylic, one 100g/280m skein in each colour.

NOTIONS
Tapestry needle, toy filling, toy safety eyes and a stitch holder.

SIZES
One size only - 35cm tall.

TECHNIQUES
For confident beginners and above, other techniques used include casting on and off, knits, purls, increases and decreases, and seaming to finish.
