Snowflake Fair Isle Hat
This is a pattern designed to look like a knit fair isle hat by using the crochet waist coat stitch for the base of the hat. The majority of the hat is made by following a color graph for the color work. The band is stretchy and the band and hat is totally seamless. There are photos in the pattern to help you along. You must be familiar with the waist coat stitch and color changing as those instructions are not included in the pattern. I would recommend this pattern as intermediate due to the color changes. The waist coat stitch is easy to accomplish if you familiarize yourself with it. You must be familiar with working in the round without joining.
The hat is meant to be one size only and to fit a medium size head of 21 -22 1/2 inches circumference.
I am sure you will enjoy this pattern and the results will get you a knit look hat but crocheted instead :-)
