Snowdrop Shawl
A lightweight bit of lace in hand dyed sock yarn to brighten spring knitting, much like the snowdrop blossoms bring cheer pushing through snow.
Not-quite triangular or crescent, you’ll start with a garter tab cast on and simple stocking stitch with yarn over increases on all right side rows until there are enough stitches to begin the lace pattern. There is nothing difficult or fussy in the lace, it easily creates darling buds draping gracefully to the simple edge.
This is truly a shawlette: just a little something to warm you around the neck, or the shoulders if you are a younger fairy like the model.
Approximate shawl size is 48¨across top and 17¨ from neck to point along the spine. That will use up nearly a whole skein, with just enough left for your sock scrap blanket of choice.
