A WINTER SPECIAL!
The main design is for a winter season fully lined Crochet/Knitted cowl in two sizes.
The outer main cowl is in a DK weight and the inner lining can be in any fluffy lace weight or 4ply yarn. The yarn listed is Fyberspates DK and Cumulus and in addition there are also samples made in Indie (Yarn By Boo) together with stash yarns …. these create very individual and varied colour combinations. Any standard DK can also be used. There are photographs contained in the pattern notes to show many combinations and also advice on changing the sizes.
Crochet linen stitch is used for the main part and the lining is in stocking stitch. The outer section of the cowl is crocheted first and then the inner lining is added in two parts. This is achieved by picking up the stitches firstly on the top edge and then on the lower edge. Felt balls or crochet/knit bobbles are added before working the lining. There is one seam to connect the lining and when turned through cannot be seen.
The cowl creates an amazingly warm garment with its double fabric and looks fabulous in both sizes and anything in between. I hope you enjoy creating your cowl in a wonderful colour of your own choosing….the combination choices are endless….the pattern includes many ideas for different yarns and can also be finished with just a fluffy edge on either top/and/or lower edges. It is versatile and customisable. What better way to begin a New Wintery Year and make your own unique piece of cosy comfort.
