This crochet adaptation of the Snow Queen Hat, which appears in the Fall 2010 issue of Interweave Crochet, only provides instructions for crocheting the main portion of the hat. For instructions for the motifs and the full materials list, as well as instructions for the knitted version of the main portion, please refer to the magazine.

Finished Size 14 1⁄4 (16, 17 1⁄2, 19, 21)“ circumference, to fit infant (toddler, child, teen, adult). Garment shown measures 17 1⁄2”.
Yarn Elann Incense (50% wool, 25% silk, 25% bamboo; 114 yd 105 m/13⁄4 oz 50 g): #02 banana cream (MC), 1 (1, 1, 2, 2) skeins.
Hook Size F/5 (3.75 mm). Adjust hook size if necessary to obtain correct gauge.
Notions Stitch markers (m); yarn needle.
Gauge 16 sts and 12 rows = 4” in hdc with largest hook.
