Snow Dress
Snow Dress is a simple dress with a slight A-line shape and a Fair Isle pattern of snow and fir trees all around the bottom of the skirt. Snow Dress is worked from the bottom up and mainly in the round using 1 strand of either Merino or Pure Silk.
You start working the hem and then the charted Fair Isle pattern, while shaping the skirt with simple decreases at the same time, up to the underarms. Afterwards, sleeves are worked in the round before body and sleeves are joined on one needle. The yoke is worked in the round up to the back neck opening where you start working the last part of the dress back and forth. I-cord edges finish the sleeves and
neckband, and the back neck opening is closed with a button and crochet loop.
The Fair Isle pattern is charted only
