Snow Creek Cowl is a practical, wearable cowl designed to
keep the cold out without excess bulk. It can be pulled up
over the chin for extra warmth or worn lower around the
neck, with the pointed front filling in the gap left by a jacket,
or shifted to the side for a more relaxed look.
The cowl begins at a single point and increases smoothly to
full width, avoiding a bulky cast on. Once joined in the
round, it’s worked for just under 4 inches to create a closefitting
shape. A grid-like, textured stitch adds quiet interest
without competing with the yarn, while slipped-stitch edges
keep the fabric neat. The join is marked by a column of
ribbing at the back, and a tubular bind off provides a clean,
polished finish. This cowl is designed for a single skein of
special yarn like Polka Dot Sheep Striata Gradient DK.
