Sneaker Socks Noah-Marie
“Noah-Marie” is a close sibling to my previously published pattern “Melanie”. Here, you get a more closed fit above the foot but not that upriding instep. A doubled cuff (optionally in contrast color) with the same stitch count as the foot provides a secure fit without the heel sliding down.
Heel tabs can be fiddly to work (and to be honest, my second half of the heel tab never looks great despite being a seasoned knitter). So this pattern features some short rows between cuff and heel flap to raise the back!
The heel itself features my newly unvented “lotus heel flap” where you do not need to pick up stitches. More short rows at the instep provide a “crew neckline” with a slightly lowered cuff at the front.
The pattern is written needle neutral so all needle styles can be used (dpns, one or two circular needles, flexi flips etc.).
Sizing uses stitch count from 56 to 72 stitches.
