These little purses open and close with a snap to keep the contents safe; just push the top apart with your fingers and, when you take them out, it snaps closed. The magic ingredient is a few strips of metal tape which, when inserted in the top of the purse, gives it its ‘snap’.

This is a long pattern. It includes instructions for two sizes of moss stitch purses, one of which features a bird, some flowers and a line of mini bunting. There are also patterns for two sizes of Snappy Purse knitted in a slip stitch pattern.

The moss stitch purses are knitted in DK weight yarn and the slip stitch ones in 4 ply but this is a pattern that can be used to design your own Snappy Purse, the size you choose and using the yarn you have.
