A great project for using up leftover sport weight yarn, and for trying a few new techniques: provisional cast on, kitchener stitch, cables, and picking up stitches.

Size: Newborn, approx. 14” head circumference

Gauge: 7 st/in in stockinette

Supplies:
Yarn: ¼ skein Madelinetosh Tosh Sport in Tart, or approximately 80 yds of sport weight yarn

Needles: set of US sz 4 DPNs, or size needed to obtain gauge

Stitch markers
Stitch holder or scrap yarn
Yarn needle
