Make a Collar-Scarf and Hat Ensemble

This smart and practical cap and collar-scarf set, which can be made for a very small cost, is an attractive accessory for the autumn, and early winter wardrobe. The newest hats will match the neckline of the frock, we are told. Ways of varying the latter are almost endless, and are all striking They include the collar-scarf, which is particularly smart if arranged as in the photograph, wrapping snugly round the neck, so that it comes well down in front, and falls in points on the shoulders, to tuck in the neck at the back.

This set is partly knitted and partly In crochet, and is a practical suggestion for the woman who wants to make attractive accessories to brighten her new suit. The following directions will enable even the less expert amateur to add it to her wardrobe. Cream and navy ls the smart color combination chosen. The little hat should be pulled well down at the sides, but the brim turns up slightly in front, and still more at the back, to show the hair. The two quills are poised at right angles.
