If you have a soft spot for all things cute and small, you’re in for a treat! In this blog post I will share a free pattern for my small amigurumi teddy bear with jointed arms and legs.
SIZE
13,5 cm (5 1/3”) tall from head to toe, when crocheted with DK weight cotton and linen blend and a 2,50 mm crochet hook.
DIFFICULTY
3: Intermediate – includes some more complicated crochet techniques and small details.
SKILLS REQUIRED
- Crocheting in spiral.
- Chain, slip and single crochet stitch.
- Increasing and decreasing.
YOU WILL NEED
- Yarn. I used Katia Linen, a DK weight cotton and linen blend, 112 m (122 yd) / 50 g (1.76 oz). You will need about 22 g of beige and 2 g of white yarn.
- 2,50 - 3,00 mm crochet hook (US size 2/C - 3/D).
- Polyester fiberfill, wool, wadding for stuffing.
- 8 mm (1/3”) safety eyes or buttons, beads, felt etc.
- Four 10 mm (2/5”) and four 8 mm (1/3”) buttons or plastic doll joints or safety eyes.
- Embroidery floss.
- Yarn needle, scissors, stitch marker.
