Slow Living Skirt
Slow Living is an elegant modern crochet skirt pattern whose name reflects the making experience. This is a relatively simple pattern which shows off the texture of the beautiful herringbone stitch. The skirt is worked waist down from the ribbed waist band (where you may learn a new trick or two!) with some simple increases around the hips. The repetitive rounds in the main body of the skirt are perfect for mindful crochet and stitchflixing!
Skills needed
This is a fairly straightforward pattern with a few interesting techniques suitable for adventurous beginners. It will include working in rows, in the round and the back loop only. The body of the skirt uses Herringbone Double Crochet (instructions and tutorial available) and creating a crochet cord for the drawstring (tutorials and modifications are available)
Materials & Sizing
The skirt uses between 300 and 500g / 1000 - 1500m of 4 ply yarn and a 4mm hook.
The pattern is written in US terms for sizes XS - 3X with measurements given in the pattern to help you choose the right size for you.
Because of the drawstring feature you can be sure that your skirt will stay securely in place too!
