A lightweight sweater made from a soft yet durable and easy-care yarn is a must in my book. Combined with my absolute favorite comfortable and universally flattering sweater silhouette, this has become a sweater I turn to again and again especially with hot summer temperatures easing down.

Slow Bloom is knit seamlessly from top to bottom, making it easy to try on as you go. Knitting begins at the back with gently sloped shoulders created with short rows before working to the underarms where stitches are put on a holder. Stitches are then picked up for front shoulders, which are again shaped with short rows, to the underarms where front and back are joined and worked in rounds down to the lower hem. Sleeve cuffs are then picked up directly from the body and worked in rounds.
