A surprise addition to the ebook of the Slipstream Mystery Knitalong.

This textured hat shows-off the colours in a favourite yarn. Choose a variegated or semi-solid, and watch the colours slipstream elegantly from one texture to the next.

Lightweight, it’s perfect for Autumn. Check out the matching cowl and mitts In a Slipstream of Colour.

You can enhance your project with optional beads. Choose a colour that picks-out your favourite tones in your yarn.

Worked in the round, this is an intermediate project.

Footnote: on yarn usage
The samples used 200m/220 yds for S/M and 240m/260yds for L/XL. If you are careful, you can make a S/M size set of hat & mitts from one skein of 365m/400yds. If you wish to make a set in L/XL, then make the hat first, followed by wristees (not mitts with a thumb gusset), adjusting the length of the wristees to suit the amount of yarn you have left.

With 200g of yarn, you can make the full set In a Slipstream of Colour, in the standard sizes given in the pattern. If you make the mitts project last, you may be able to make them with a longer cuff, depending on how much yarn you have leftover after the other two pieces are made.
