This hat is quick and colorful and one size fits most adults. It’s a great project in which to learn an easy slip stitch and experiment with color. The slip-stitch technique gives the effect of a two-color pattern while using only one color per round. In short order, you will have a vibrant hat knit in the round.

The slip stitch pulls the stitches in, so the body of the hat is knit with a size larger needle than is required for stocking stitch. The tension on your ball band should still be 20 sts=4”/10 cm on 5.0mm/US 8 needle in slip stitch pattern.

Gauge: 20 sts =4” in sl st on #8 (5mm) and 20 sts=4” in St st on #6 (4mm) needle, before blocking.

Errata is for the version in the book.
