This poncho is modeled by my lovely daughter who is 9 but is wearing the teen size -- so it is a bit big on her!

It is working in one piece from the left bottom front to the left bottom back to create a slanted look to the stitch pattern. It is folded over and seamed along the left shoulder. Neck shaping is done in the middle.

The finished poncho is a square with measurements of 20” (23-1/2, 27).
