We lived in New York state for over 3 years while I was teaching at Vassar College in Poughkeepsie. I have so many memories of the state and so many inspirations… but wanted to see if I could do a reasonable job with an ‘Art Deco’ inspired design. Wish i could have done several NY socks - one for the baseball hall of fame! One for the Shakespearean garden at Vassar, one for the woods where we used to go for walks; one for the Hudson river and our weekend mini - vacations taking a train trip to small towns. Of course there was snow on the roof and….
