Skowlly Cowl
When I started spinning I assured my husband that soon I’d only be knitting from all the glorious yarn I lovingly spun day after day. Night after night. Week after week. I told him of all the money we’d save because I’d no longer need new commercial yarn. He looked at me out of the corner of his eye and shrugged.
Two years later there’s piles of glorious handspun yarn in enormous person sized zip lock bags, covering Industrial Strength Costco metal shelving units, and falling out of pretty but unorganized Ikea Expedit hanging storage.
My doe eyed spinning naivety has been crushed under the ever growing hoarder-sized stash of hand spun yarn.
So I wrote the pattern for Skowlly Cowl. And I can shout from the rooftops that my handspun yarn stash is now (n - 1) in size and gloat by buying more fiber.
