Knit this fun ’Skier’ hat!
Enjoy seeing the skiers & trees start coming to life with every round.
Traditional fair isle stranded color work is used.
The sample shown here uses 2 background colors and 4 pattern colors. The hat can also be knit with just 2 contrasting colors.
Medium worsted weight yarn will make an adult M size. For smaller / bigger sizes, please use light worsted / heavy worsted yarn, respectively.

YARN
The sample is knitted with:
Background - Color A (pale blue) 20 yds, Color B (white) 55yds.
Pattern - Color C (Blue) 35 yds, Color D (red) 30 yds, Color E (green) 17 yds, Color F (navy) 25 yds.

I used all my left over yarns, Malabrigo Rios, Tosh Vintage, Cascade 220…. You can mix and match any medium worsted weight yarn!

You can also knit with 2 contrasted colors - Background 90 yds + Pattern 80 yds.

NEEDLE

• US 5 and 6, 16” long circular needles.
• US 6 DPN (or your preferred method to work for crown.)

These needles sizes are for Adult M size. If you are going to knit with heavier or lighter yarn, please adjust the needle sizes for your yarn.

SIZE
The instruction is written for Adult M - 20.5” (finished circumference) with gauge 21 sts / 4”.
Adult L - 21.5” with gauge 20 sts / 4”
Adult S - 19.5” with gauge 22 sts / 4”
