For the ski lovers, this versatile piece is designed to be worn both as a cowl or a beanie. On the top edge, a cotton cord threaded through an eyelet round allows it to be cinched for wearing as a hat or left loose when used as a cowl.

This pattern is worked bottom-up in the round mainly in mosaic colorwork: Top and bottom edges are folded and seamed. The top edge (worked flat) allows to add the cord.
