Skástræti
Uppskriftin er í boði á íslensku og ensku.
This shawl is a fun and simple knit, ideal for travels or indeed a busy day. The name Skástræti is inspired by one of Goosey fibers wonderful colors, Diagon Alley – it´s the Icelandic translation used in the Harry Potter books for the London street where the wizards live. I found it most appropriate, as the shawl is knit on the bias or „diagonally“.
Yarn:
Goosey fibers.
Color A: Failing shop – 100 g (462 yards - 422 meters)
Color B: Diagon Alley – 90 g (416 yards - 380 meters)
Color C: Horcrux – 30 g (140 yards - 127 meters)
A note on yardage: I used about 85 g of color A. However, a couple of testers used more than a 100 g, about 106 g. If you run out of yarn with color A, I suggest using color C or a leftover in a similar colorway.
Needles and notions:
32“ (80 cm), size 6 US (4 mm) circular needle.
Method:
The shawl is knit on the bias and is an asymmetrical triangle. You start with few stitches, and increase 2 on the right side, every other round, and decrease one st on the left side.
