Siren Socks
Inspired by the unique Seacell fiber contained in Fleece Artist’s new Sea Wool, these socks were designed to highlight the sea.
Undulating ocean waves adorn the cuff, while three schools of tails swim down the back of the leg and along the tops of the foot towards the toe. The lustrousness of the Seacell makes the lace elements shine for a fun, yet sophisticated sock. If you enjoy the sea, these socks are for you.
The featured stitch patterns are presented in both written and charted formats and are easy to memorize. The pattern is given in three sizes for Women’s Small, Medium and Large. Adjusting the gauge will create a larger variety of sizes. It is written for socks knit from the top down on 5 double pointed needles with an eye of partridge re-inforced heel flap with gusset and traditional wedge toe. Experienced sock knitters can easily convert the pattern to other techniques and substitute favorite heels and toes as desired.
