Entrelac scarf using just a little patterning in the blocks. Blocks are flat joined using Rick Mondragon’s sliding loop modular intarsia technique. The scarf can be made almost-reversible in a long-print yarn, or completely reversible in a plain yarn. The pattern is for a 4-block wide scarf, but includes universal directions to work an odd-numbered width as well. Pattern is written for weighing yarn and adjusting length accordingly, including two different endings based on where you run short.
Each entrelac block is 10 stitches wide by 21 rows tall.
Pattern is half-sheet formatted to print as a center-staple booklet if you:
print 2 pages to a side
print on both sides of each leaf
print on margin-less 8.5 x 11 inch paper
(If you’ve taken a class with the designer after June 2012, this is the same format as her class handouts.)
If you have a smaller tablet or you read off your smart phone, you shouldn’t have to zoom as much. You can also print this size if you print on 5.5 x 8 inch paper — i.e. half-sheet.
