Single Crochet Join with PLT
This pattern is “Single Crochet Join as-you-go / Continuous Join-as-you-go with Pull Loop Through Join”
OR
“SC JAYG/CJAYG with PLT Join”
Both JAYG and CJAYG methods are included in this PDF.
With the JAYG, you will cut yarn after each motif is joined onto the blanket. With the CJAYG, you will continuously join your squares without cutting the yarn, until all squares have been joined up.
Introduction
This join is meant to be used on a blanket with any size squares and any number of squares in each row and column. I have provided both the regular join as you go version, and the continuous join as you go version so that you can use whichever method you prefer. If you are feeling adventurous, try the continuous JAYG, as it only requires sewing of 2 yarn ends, and also gives a nice strong “net” to promote the integrity of your blanket.
This joining method uses my PLT Join. I created this join in 2012 and first published it in my Gumball Blanket pattern. I used the flat braid join methods of Priscilla Hewitt (my crochet idol) to develop the PLT Join. I am so proud that you can now find people using PLT Join all over the place!
