This stretchy one-skein project is halfway between a beanie and a slouchy hat. Crocheting in the back loop of half double crochet stitches mimics the look of the stockinette stitch in knitting.
Although this is listed as intermediate because of the special stitches, an adventurous beginner can make it. Now available in 8 sizes.
Looking for the same style of beanie in a different weight of yarn? Try my free crochet patterns for the Under the Bridge Hat in super bulky weight yarn or the Shimmering Frost Beanie in jumbo weight yarn.
