Simple Dimple Socks
This pattern was designed with beginner sock knitters in mind. These comfortable socks are made top-down on dpns, but are easily adjusted to use any method: Magic Loop or small circs, toe-up, two-at-a-time…
This pattern is designed as a Quick Print sheet - just one page! Fold it up and toss it in your knitting bag. You can use 100 g of any fingering weight sock yarn.
For this reason, the pattern does not have abbreviations listed (see below) and the instructions are as basic as possible, but still clear enough for a novice knitter (or someone new to sock knitting)!
Simple Dimple Socks are constructed from the cuff to the toe with a short-row heel and standard toe decreases. The rem toe sts are grafted together.
Note: There are extra rows of knitting in the round incorporated into the heel - depending on the yarn used, this may interrupt your patterning (but those rows can be omitted).
Skills: knit, purl, German short rows, grafting
Other Materials: tapestry needle or teeny crochet hook; stitch marker
