DETAILS
This beret design is intended to be simple and warm, especially suitable for winter and for beginners in knitting in the round.

CONSTRUCTION
The beret is worked from the bottom up seamlessly in the round.
Starting with 1x1 rib, the brim is worked using 3.5mm / US 4 circular needles for 2cm / 3/4″.
Switch to 4mm / US 6 needles and make increases, continue working in stockinette stitch.
Once the beret reaches the desired size, work decreases every other round.
Before binding off the crown, knit the remaining stitches for several rounds to form an I-cord, then tie it onto itself.

YARN
Lana Grossa Merino Uno (100% Merino Wool; DK weight; 125m / 136yds per 50g skein)
2 skeins in color 29 Altrosa or 250m / 273yds of DK weight yarn.

GAUGE
22 sts x 32 rows = 10cm / 4″, knitted in the round in stockinette stitch with 4mm / US 6 needles, measured after blocking

NEEDLES

• 4mm / US 6 needles, 50cm / 20″ and 80cm / 32″ length.
• 3.5mm / US 4 needles, 50cm / 20″ length.

Always use the needle size that will result in the correct gauge after blocking.

NOTIONS
1 stitch marker, tapestry needle.
Optional: Up to 62 cm / 24″ of elastic thread, 11 removable stitch markers.

Este diseño de boina está pensado en ser sencillo y abrigado, especial para el invierno y para principiantes en el tejido en redondo.

CONSTRUCCIÓN
Se teje desde abajo hacia arriba en redondo sin costuras.
La pretina se teje en punto elástico por 2cm con un palillo de grosor 3.5mm.
Se cambia a palillos de grosor 4mm y se hacen aumentos, luego se continúa tejiendo en punto jersey.
Una vez alcanzado el tamaño indicado para la boina se hacen disminuciones vuelta por medio.
Antes de cerrar la boina, se tejen los últimos puntos por varias vueltas para formar un I-cord que se amarra sobre sí mismo.

HILADO
Lana Grossa Merino Uno (100% Merino; grosor DK; 125m por ovillo de 50g)
2 ovillos en color 29 Altrosa o app 250m de hilado grosor DK.

MUESTRA
