Silke
If you purchase 5 of my self-published designs at the same time (they need to be in the same cart), you will get the least expensive for free!
This traditional one-skein hap shawl begins at the top center with a Garter stitch triangle. Later from its edges you pick up stitches for the lace part of the shawl and bind it off with a row of picots.
It’s easy to make, very feminine and results in a fairly big one-skein shawlette that will stay on shoulder during chilly summer evenings.
Size
One size: approx. 125 cm/49” wide and 62.5 cm/25” long at center spine.
Yarn
1 skein of WalkCollection Silky BFL Fingering (55% wool, 45% silk; 400m/437y per100g) or any other fingering weight yarn, which gives you the correct gauge. Shown in colorway Moana.

3.75 mm/US #5 circular needle (80 cm/32” long).
Other
4 stitch markers, tapestry needle for weaving.
Gauge
20 sts and 34 rows = 10 cm/4” in Garter st measured flat after wet blocking.
The gauge isn’t crucial on this project, but differences will affect the finished size as well as the required yardage.
