Silex Spring refers to one of the many beautiful sulfur springs that my family and I encountered during our trip to Yellowstone Park; a vacation that remains dear to my heart. The colors in the Miss Babs Perseus gradient reminded me of these springs.
Silex Spring is a top-down, crescent-shaped shawl consisting of slipped stitches and garter rows separated by a simple lace pattern. The lace is only worked on the right side rows and is a great pattern for those looking to expand their horizon into lace knitting.
Yarn: The shawl uses one 400-yard fingering weight skein for the Main Color and six gradient, fingering weight skeins, at least 100 yards each. Additional gradient sets to be used with a 400-yard fingering weight Main Color may be found here.
Shown In: Gradient shawl shown in Miss Babs Yummy 2-Ply Toes, Perseus Gradient and Miss Babs Yummy 2-Ply in Parchment
Teal and Brown shawl shown in Wollmeise Pure 100% Merino Superwash in Zartbitter and Oohm
Finished Size 76” along neckline by 21” at deepest point
The pattern is provided in both written and charted form.
