CONSTRUCTION OF THE DESIGN
The slipover is worked top down, both flat and in the round. You begin by working flat from the back neck, using a combination of a textured pattern and Stockinette Stitch. After the back is complete, you continue working towards the underarm, incorporating increases to shape the armholes.

Next, the live stitches of the back panel are placed on hold and you begin working on the front panels with textured pattern and Stockinette Stitch. Then you will continue to shape the neckline. Once the neckline shaping is complete, the front panels are joined with additional cast-on stitches, and you continue working flat toward the underarm, including increases for armhole shaping.
The front and back panels are then joined in the round using additional cast-on stitches at the underarm. The body is worked in the round, continuing the textured pattern and Stockinette Stitch. After completing the main body, you finish with twisted ribbing for the hem.

The neckline and armholes are also finished with twisted ribbing and double folded.
