Sidestripes jacket
From the description: For something different, I wanted to use vertical stripes, but the thought of carrying all the colours horizontally on each row was too much, and it would have made the garment heavy. By working sideways, I could achieve the vertical stripes working with one colour at a time.
Notions: 30 (35, 40)cm open-ended jacket zip, blunt needle, sharp needle and thread.
Finished measurements:
- Chest: 57.5 (62.5, 67, 72, 76.5)cm / 22.5 (24.5, 26.25, 28.25, 30)“
- back length: 32 (32, 38, 38, 41.5)cm / 12.5 (12.5, 15, 15, 16.25)“
- sleeve length: 30 (30, 32, 32, 36.5)cm / 11.75 (11.75, 12.5, 12.5, 14.25)“
Notes: This jacket is cast on at the right front edge, knitted sideways in one piece and cast off at the left front edge. Keep cast on and cast off tension even to ensure front edges of jacket are the same length. When casting on stitches at the end of a row, use a backwards loop.
