This Icelandic-inspired asymmetrical shawl is knit from side to side. Lines of traditional spider lace are worked across to a lacy edging that can be cast off with crocheted loops or a plain ending.

The easy-to-memorize lace repeats over 6 stitches and 12 rows. Instructions include numbers for two sizes, and the size also can be customized.

Designed for Icelandic lace weight yarns, this shawl also looks great in a variety of fingering, sport, and DK weights.
