These cheeky seagulls will sit with their legs dangling off a shelf, keeping an eye on your snacks!

This amigurumi pattern is suitable for improver level crocheters. You should be able to confidently do UK double crochet (US single crochet). It is worked in the round with a magic ring start. The finished seagull body is 9cm tall (plus 7cm legs).

UK and US versions of the pattern are provided. As well as right and left handed versions of both.

This pattern uses UK double, half treble, treble and double treble crochet stitches.
This pattern uses US single, half double, double and treble crochet stitches.

Photos are included for various steps of the project.

You will need:
2.5mm crochet hook (3mm for the legs if you are a tight chainer)
Yarn needle
Scissors
Toy stuffing (10g)
6mm safety eyes x 2
Fingering/4ply weight mercerised cotton yarn (e.g. Scheepjes Catona)

  • White/cream (body) (15g)
  • Grey (wings) (5g)
  • Pink (legs) ( less than 5g)
  • Small amounts of red and yellow (beak) (less than 5g)
  • Small amount of black yarn for eyes if not using safety eyes (less than 5g)
