Shower Stitch Cowl
The pattern for this cowl accompanies the Special Topics in Finishing article on tubular bands. If you are not familiar with the tubular cast-on and bind-off techniques, you may want to read the article first.
A cowl, knit in the round, is an ideal project to practice these techniques. Although it may seem contrary to the function of a cowl to use such an open lace pattern like the Shower Stitch, I knew it would work up quickly.
There are three lengths for the cowl. The small size hugs the neck. The medium size drapes over the chest and the large size can be wrapped around the neck. Small and medium use just one skein of yarn while the large size requires two.
