DETAILS

This beret is inspired by the iconic beret of Cardcaptor Sakura.
I wanted to knit a large, voluminous beret, trying to achieve the big size of the beret used by Sakura.

CONSTRUCTION
Shoujo is worked from the bottom up in the round seamlessly, the bow is worked flat and sewn to the beret.
It begins with the 1x1 ribbed brim, then continues in stockinette stitch, and stitches are picked up from the cast-on edge to create a hem while doubling the stitches.
Continue knitting in stockinette stitch until the beret reaches the desired size, then divide the beret into 8 equal sections, decreasing 1 stitch per section in each round until 40 stitches remain.
The last stitches are closed by passing the yarn with the help of a needle through all the stitches twice and pulling tight.
To make the bow, knit 3 rectangles. The first is joined to itself to form the top part, the second is knit with slits at each side, and the third joins the previous two.
Sew all these parts in the center and attach the bow to the center of the beret.

YARN
Lana Grossa Merino Uno (100% Merino; worsted weight, 125m / 137yds per 50g skein) 3 skeins in color 29 Altrosa, or 375m / 411yds of DK or Worsted weight yarn.

GAUGE
21 sts x 30 rounds = 10cm / 4″, knitted in the round in stockinette stitch with 4mm / US 6 needles, measured BEFORE blocking.

• 4mm / US 6 needles, 50cm / 20″ and 80cm / 32″ length.
• 3mm / US 2 ½ needles, 50cm / 20″ length. (sizes 1 and 2 ONLY)
• 3,5mm / US 4 needles, 50cm / 20″ length. (sizes 3 and 4 ONLY)
• 4,5mm / US 7 needles, 50cm / 20″ length.

NOTIONS
2 stitch markers, tapestry needle, 5mm / US H crochet hook.

DETALLES
Esta boina está inspirada en la boina característica de Sakura Cardcaptor.
Quise tejer una boina grande y aglobada intentando obtener el gran tamaño de la boina utilizada por Sakura.

CONSTRUCCIÓN
La boina se teje desde abajo hacia arriba en redondo sin costuras, el lazo se teje de forma plana y con costuras.
Comienza por la pretina en punto elástico 1x1, luego se continúa tejiendo en punto jersey y se toman puntos desde el urdido inicial para crear un dobladillo mientras que se duplican puntos.
Se continúa tejiendo en punto jersey hasta que la boina tenga el tamaño deseado y se divide la boina en 8 secciones iguales, se disminuye 1 punto por sección en cada vuelta hasta quedar con 40 puntos.
Se cierran los últimos puntos pasando la hebra con ayuda de una aguja a través de todos los puntos 2 veces y cerrando con fuerza.
Para hacer el lazo se tejen 3 rectángulos, el primero se une sobre sí mismo para formar la parte superior, el segundo se teje con puntas y el tercero une los 2 anteriores.
Se cosen todas estas partes en el centro y se une el lazo al centro de la boina.

HILADO
Lana Grossa Merino Uno (100% Merino; grosor worsted, 125m por ovillo de 50g) 3 ovillos en color 29 Altrosa, o 375m de hilado grosor DK o Worsted.

MUESTRA
21 pts x 30 vueltas = 10cm, tejida en redonda en punto jersey con palillos de grosor 4mm, medido ANTES de bloquear.

• Palillo de grosor 4mm, cable de 50cm y 80cm.
• Palillo de grosor 3,5mm, cable de 50cm. (sólo tallas 3 y 4)
• Palillo de grosor 3mm, cable de 50cm. (sólo tallas 1 y 2)
