Short Zen Farmer's Mitts
by Cat Bordhi
Like all the mitts in my ebook, CAT’S FAMILY OF FINGERLESS MITTS, these mitts are knit side to side and closed with a 3-needle bind-off. The included 15-minute Tiny Mitt video will make you feel as if I am beside you showing you just what to do from start to finish.
When Andrew, co-owner of Apple Knits in Bellingham, Washington, put down the sweater he was knitting to see my mitts and said he’d wear them if they were shorter, I listened. Here the mitts are, resting on a map of the Salish Sea ecosystem that is my beloved home, on the fine working hands of my farmer friend Jim Lawrence, whose memoir, Callused Hands, Hungry Heart, is so worth reading.
