Short Kimono Jacket
by Vashti Braha
Short Kimono Jacket worked with two strands held together throughout. It is worked from the top down in one piece.
Size range: small/medium (39 inch bust), large/x-large/2x-large (52 inch bust), 3x-large/4x-large (65 inch bust)
Gauge: Ch-5 sp and 3 sc = 3 1/4 inches;
5 pattern rows = 3 inches
Notes:
- Caron Simply Soft was sold in slightly larger skeins of 330 in 2007 when the pattern wash published, and as of 2019 was sold in skeins of 315.
- Caron Fling has been discontinued, but information can be found here on Ravelry to help in making a substitution.
- The pattern appears to call for different lengths of each yarn, although both yarns are held together throughout.
Skeins of yarn needed in each yarn for each size:
Caron Simply Soft (2007’s 330 yard size):
small/medium: 2
large/x-large/2x-large: 2
3x-large/4x-large: 3
Caron Fling:

large/x-large/2x-large: 11
3x-large/4x-large: 13
