To make Shornies at the tension/gauge given above you will need up to 115 metres/126 yards of your main colour, and up to 230 metres/252 yards of contrast colour. The pictured sample was knitted with baa ram ewe Dovestone DK, a wonderfully sheepy 100% British wool yarn, full of Yorkshire loveliness!

The tension/gauge given above is for the stranded colourwork in the main body of the hat. Tension/gauge in the brim is 24 sts and 32 rounds per 10cm/4” in blocked k2, p2 rib.
