The “SHOHOLA” slouchy - fair-isle with flair

Inspired by the cascading waters of Shohola Falls, this slouchy hat utilizes slip stitches and only one color per row. To keep things interesting, the crown is formed using a decrease and bind off similar to the toe of a knitted sock.

THE BASICS

• Pattern includes 3 sizes: Toddler / Child / Adult

• Pattern is written in ENGLISH and uses standard U.S. knitting terms

• Instructions are for knitting in the round on circular and double pointed needles

• Gauge: 18 stitches = 4 inches (10 cm)

• Knitting skill level - INTERMEDIATE

• Approximately 67 (79, 90) yds or 61 (72, 82) m worsted weight yarn in red

• Approximately 74 (87, 100) yds or 68 (80, 91) m worsted weight yarn in gray

• U.S. size 8 (5 mm) 16” circular needle or size needed to obtain gauge

• U.S. size 8 (5 mm) double pointed needles or size needed to obtain gauge

• U.S. size 7 (4.5 mm) 16” circular needle or one size smaller than gauge needle

• Stitch marker

• Yarn needle
