Pattern Description

Pamela decided to teach a knitting class at her son’s all-boy middle school. Thirty-two boys signed up. After a few weeks of classes, Pamela decided the boys were ready to begin a project. She chose this hat pattern with the simple rib at the bottom and stockinette body. Soon after most of the kids had completed their project. Pamela overheard one of the boys--one of the school’s jocks--talking to another student. “Knitting is so cool,” he said. “Dude, it’s like you take this piece of string and in no time it becomes something you can wear…look at this awesome hat I made!” Pamela was happily shocked by this boy’s enthusiasm and in awe of the craft she was teaching him.
