250g angora or a tufted wool; 150g of a finer 3-ply or baby knit wool. Pair 4½mm (US 6) and a pair of 3mm (US 2) needles. 11 buttons ½in (2cm) wide.

Measurements
To fit size 34–38in bust. Length from shoulder at armhole edge 51cm (20in). Length of sleeve seam at armhole edge 4cm (3½in).

Tension
11sts to 5cm (2in) in width and 8 rows to 2.5cm (1in) in depth. (Knit into back of cast-on stitches.)
