Pattern description from Folk Style: “Shibori is an age-old Japanese technique of folding, twisting, scrunching, stitching, and then dyeing fabric to achieve a color pattern. These days, we might call it tie-dye. To mimic the look of shibori - but without the laborious methods - Mags Kandis knitted a two-tone scarf, added contrasting crochet circles, then gathered the circles and felted the scarf to turn them into rounded puckers. To make the scarf stay put around the neck, mags simply cut a slit in one end to accommodate the other end. The simple result makes a striking scarf.”

Finished Size: About 5.25” (13.5 cm) wide and 38” (96.5 cm) long. Note: Your exact finished size may be different because of individual variations in the felting process - that’s part of the allure.

Notions: Tapestry needle; makers (m); dressmaker’s water-soluble fabric marker (available at fabric stores) in contrasting color(s) to A and B; scissors; size J/10 (6mm) crochet hook; mesh lingerie bag for felting.
