Scarf Width: 2 3/4 inches (without a finishing round. If you add the optional finishing round of single crochet on the outside edges, the scarf will be about 3 1/4 inches wide).
Scarf Length: The example is 72 inches long, with 140 pattern rows. Crochet less rows for a shorter scarf or more rows for a super long scarf.
Gauge: 4 rows = 2 inches; two 4-dc shells = 2 inches (measuring at top of shells)
