This pattern fits American Girl WellieWisher, Hearts for Hearts and Les Cheries dolls. Also the new Glitter Girls 14” and 14” Play Zone Style Girls and the NEW Gotz Little Kidz dolls!

Quick and easy to crochet, this pattern has directions for a cute little shell stitch doll dress. It can also be a sweater that can be worn with the opening either in front or in back. DK weight yarn is used with a 3.75 mm crochet hook.

Samples were made with an F-3.75 mm hook in Bernat Baby Jacquards, Bernat Baby Softee and two different sock yarns. If sock yarn is used, plan on working an extra row or two in the bodice since the row gauge will be smaller.

This pattern was designed for the 14-inch Heart4Hearts doll since my granddaughters wanted more clothes for them. The sweater in sock yarn also fits the 13-inch Les Cheries dolls. The dress made with Bernat Jacquards will fit the Les Cheries dolls if fewer shells are done on the skirt.

November 26, 2013: Tipi is modeling a yellow dress with the ruffled hem row. My new MGA Entertainment 18-inch doll, Kaitlin, is need of clothes so I tried Tipi’s dress on her. It fits but could use a few more shell rows to make the skirt longer. Lucky girl since she needs clothes.
