Shawl Collar Redux
We’ve updated a favorite classic Spinnery pattern with modernized proportions, a greater size range and a lighter gauge for a more fluid fabric. The oversized fit and snuggly shawl collar is just as comforting as ever, and still holds a unisex appeal.
The pullover is worked flat from the bottom up and seamed together at the shoulders with a three-needle bind off. The sides can be left open with a deep vent for a breezy feel or seamed up for a warmer garment.
GAUGE: 16 sts & 26 rows over 4 in / 10 cm in blocked broken rib with larger needle
MATERIALS: Yarn: 7 (7, 8, 9, 10, 10, 12, 13, 14) sks of Weekend Wool, or Mountain Mohair (140 yds each)
Needles: US 8 / 5.0 mm & US size 9 /5.5 mm circular needle, 32” / 80 cm US 8/ 5.0 mm DPN’s
Notions: Stitch markers, spare knitting needle for 3 needle bind off
