Inspired by a tiled garden floor and origami folding, this hat is an exploration of joining motifs to create a fabric, then “bending” the two-dimensional fabric to create a three-dimensional fabric: the crown of a hat. I love how the color striping in this yarn makes beautiful starbursts in the center of the medallions and also creates subtle striping in the ribbed brim.
