SHANEL is a hexagonal shawl worked in a variation of ribbed pattern I am completely obsessed with. Shawl is worked in 2 separate pieces, from the bottom towards the center of the scarf. Both pieces may be worked separately, one by one, or simultaneously, one next to another, using different balls of yarn. Once both pieces are done, they’re joined in the center of the shawl with the 3 needle chain bind off, which results in almost invisible joint on the right side, and adds the horizontal chain that closes the floating lines of the pattern on the wrong side. Reversible overall with details, like lace eyelets incorporated in the ribbed pattern along with curved, wandering lines of ribbing and fringe all over the pointy bottom edges, Shanel assures the enjoyable knitting time resulted with an unique wrap based only on basic knitting skills.

Gauge
16 sts x 19 rows = 10 cm x 10 cm / 4” x 4” in 2x1 rib with 5.5 mm / US 9 needles after blocking.
