Shajar is a smart sleeveless sweater for boys (and girls !), with a motif of trees and contrasted borders.
You can do it with a round neckline, or with a hood.

It is knitted from the bottom up, in the round until the underarms, then the front and back are knitted separetely. Stitches are picked up for borders of armholes and neckline or hood.

Shajar means tree in Arabic.

It exists in 7 sizes :
2-4-6-8-10-12-14 years.

You will need :

• 360 (390/410/440/500/550/600) yards of DK yarn for the main colour
• 55 (55/55/55/82/82/82) yards of DK yarn for the contrasting colour.
• If you want to make a hood, add 150 (150/175/175/200/200/225) meters / 170 (170/200/200/ 220/220/250) yards of CC.

Shajar est un débardeur élégant pour garçons (et filles) avec un motif de jacquard et des bordures contrastées. Vous pouvez le faire avec son encolure ronde simple, ou ajouter une capuche, pour un côté plus cool.

Il se tricote de bas en haut, en rond jusqu’aux emmanchures, puis en aller-retour pour le devant et le dos. Des mailles sont relevées pour faire les bordures des emmanchures et du col ou de la capuche.

Shajar signifie arbre en arabe.

Il existe en 7 tailles :

Il vous faudra :

• 325 (350/375/400/450/500/550) mètres de laine de type DK en couleur principale
• 50 (50/50/50/75/75/75) mètres de laine en couleur contrastante.
• Si vous voulez faire la capuche, ajoutez 150 (150/175/175/200/200/225) mètres en CC.
