Shag Carpet Shorties
The shag carpet shorties were inspired by 70s macrame, vintage upholstery, and this stunning Allison Barnes colourway. These socks are knit from the top down, with a heel flap and gusset, and knit up quickly using a DK weight yarn. Gorgeous cables cover the entire leg and instep of the sock, and blend seamlessly into the toe.
Pattern contains both written and charted instructions.
The pattern can be easily adapted into a mid-calf sock but adjusting the number of pattern repeats you do. While the pattern calls for one skein of DK weight yarn, your yardage will vary based on the length or leg and foot you choose to do - those wishing to do a mid-calf sock should have an extra skein handy.
